About

Printed cars, made in Australia.

cp3dbiz is a small Australian seller of 3D printed collectible cars. The first one is the Voronoi Porsche 992 GT3.

The pattern

What Voronoi means here.

A Voronoi pattern breaks a surface into irregular cells. The cells are open, and the walls between them are what you see as the ornament across the body. On this model those walls are drawn as curls and scrolls rather than straight lines.

Because the cells sit at different sizes and depths across a curved body, they line up differently from every side. That is why the car looks different from every angle you see it from.

How it's made

Made by 3D printing.

This is a 3D print, and it doesn't pretend otherwise. It is built up one thin layer at a time, and you can see those layers as fine horizontal lines across every surface. They are the signature of how it is made, not something to hide.

Printing is also what makes an open body like this possible. Look down through the roof and the seat and steering wheel are right there inside.

See it properly.
