A GT3 you can see straight through.

The first piece

Voronoi Porsche 992 GT3

The GT3 shape is all there. Then the body is opened up into a lattice of curls and cells that runs across the hood, roof, sides and rear, so you can see the seats and steering wheel through the roof.

Printed in a single ivory filament, it takes on an almost marble-like look. It sits somewhere between automotive design and contemporary art.

Light and shadow

The openings are the point.

A solid model shows you one surface. This one shows you the surface, what is behind it, and the shadow it throws on whatever it sits on. Move a few steps and the pattern changes.

LatticeCurling cells across the nose, framing both headlights.
  • Close up of a printed ten spoke racing wheel under a lattice wheel arch, with the horizontal layer lines of the print clearly visible

Where it lives

Desk, shelf or collection.

  • Printed GT3 cropped close on its low nose and lattice hood, the way it would sit at the edge of a desk

    Desk

On a desk or in a modern setup, it reads as a sculpture first and a car second.

  • Printed GT3 in side profile from slightly above, the view you get of a model on a shelf at chest height

    Shelf

On a shelf, light passes through the openings, so the shadows it throws move as the light in the room does.

  • Printed GT3 from the rear left at a low angle, showing the exhaust tips and the open rear end

    Collection

In a sports car collection, it is the GT3 you can see straight through.
